I have no problem with folks buying "pedigree" pets from puppy mills but I swear on my last dogs grave, the best dawgs I have ever had were rescue dogs of mixed breed. If you think about it, they are also true American dawgs. As Americans we are all mutts. look at us. When push comes to shove we can kick crap out of any and every pure bred nationality in the world. Why would a dawg be any different.  :P

A recent photo of Bud, Duke Penny and Sceamin Eagle.. The best pets are adopted pets!.. these are all "foster failures" from the local Animal Shelter..

I have a problem with people buying "Pedigree pets"... from puppy mills.... why do it when you can get babies like these at a local shelter? there too many dogs being "Put Down" because the shelters are too full... Puppy mills are a big part of the problem!

Just let our Wesley hound go at 12 1/2 years old.

Always the perfect gentleman in the 9-1/2 years he lived with us.

Retired racers are the best!

Because you took the picture with your iphone, with the latest update, holding the phone up and down to take the picture.  Hold the phone sideways with the volumn button pointed down to the floor.  That is the way a phone is oriented even though looking at a picture on your phone it will turn it upright regardless of how you're holding your phone.

Bye Wesley.  Now you can chase rabbits and squirrels in a MUCH bigger yard.  So sorry Kim.  How long before you're thinking another rescued racer comes home?

And here's Princess, a rescue Turkish Angora. A real lady. We adopted her 8 years ago when she was 1. Follows me around the house when I'm doing chores to keep me company, will not eat her food unless I'm the one to put it in her bowl, and does not climb up on the kitchen counters or the breakfast table because she knows her mom would be upset.
