This week I was driving through a little town, middle of nowhere, & saw 2 dogs waiting to cross the road at an intersection.  Little medium sized brown mama dog watching a larger black/brown brindle colored dog - looking at him anxiously.  He was staring intently at the intersection & the cars & trucks going by.  Not sure why I noticed them - just a couple of mongrel mutts. They were wearing collars & in good shape so figured they must be someone's pets.   I was stopped at the light & traffic was busy, considering.  He made a false start once or twice - when he moved she would also, but he would back up & so would she due to the car traffic.  She looked anxious, if dogs can look anxious.  Traffic finally cleared & they made their way to the produce stand across the street - maybe the guy there owned them, maybe they were just exploring.  Found their behavior interesting - the male was older, & the young female was taking her street crossing cues from him.  Evidently he knew the program, since he did not dart into traffic even once.  Smart dogs, & they put a smile on my face that morning.

Here's picture of my best buddy ever...His name was Sunny....short for Sundancer...and he lived to a ripe old age of 15 1/2 years.  Australian Terrier is the breed...Sunny came to me through a breeder when he was four years old.  He had already gotten his Championship, and had fathered several litters of pups from all over the country, so came to me to retire.  Sunny used to go out in the boat fishing with me, backpacking, and anywhere else I wanted him to go until he couldn't go any more...that's been about 7 years ago now, and I still miss him...this photo stays on my credensa at work at all times...

This isn't one of my "kids", (I'd never be able to get any of them to wear this, let alone sit still long enough to take the picure), but I have a copy of this in my office.  It always puts a smile on my face.  :)

Absolutely :2vrolijk_21:    This cat was a stray, then lived in the garage because my sister's husband wouldn't allow KK in the house, then moved into the house after his leg was amputated.  He's living the good life.   :)

I know I have shown you guys the Harley dog before, but I don't think he has shown off his HD collar...

Also  I have friend that is into Pitts, he gave this nice halter collar to the Harley dog for a Christmas gift. What do you think of this thing? I think he looks great in it and when he is wearing it he really thinks he is cool...

That halter collar is fantastic.  Looks great. No wonder he struts his stuff when wearing it.
