I've never seen this thread or never paid any attention to it. Prior to getting married last year, I had never owned a dog and didn't think of myself as a pet person. My pet experience was a one-eyed black cat named Patch that was house-trained. He went to the door and meowed to go out and would sit outside meow to come back in. If you ever left him locked up too long, he'd go to the walk-in shower and do his business on the drain! And he learned that all by himself. He never got on the furniture, the counters or used anything but the rug to sharpen his claws. So my pet ownership has been highly skewed!
Then Robert fell in love with Annie, Mike's 4-year-old black lab! She is the smartest and most beautiful dog I've ever seen! I'll post her pic in a moment.
Then we needed a dog for Grayson because he was jealous. Grayson wrote a letter to Santa requesting "a white dog named Biscuit." Big Daddy took him to the post office to mail it. Santa (our mail carrier) wrote back and told him it was a late request but he'd see what he could do! Santa delivered the cutest puppy I've ever seen, a very pale yellow English lab to Big Daddy's Firehouse on Thanksgiving because "he was going to be too big for the sleigh by Christmas." The last six months have been quiet an experience. He's not a dog! He's a horse! They said he'd be around 85 pounds full grown. He weighed 72 pounds before he was 6 months. He doesn't know how big he is and is still such a baby. He pouts, he sulks, and he is soooo spoiled!
Pics will follow. I've created his own photo album on my MySpace page just to document his growth because I can't get over how fast he's grown!
