and our Akita Kodi....

Scott, both pups are great looking. My last dog was a Lab/GSD mix. Super dog, smart, easy going. great with my kids when they were little. Her biggest offense was knocking glasses off the coffee table with her tail.

thanks for that shot. blueticks in love!!!!!!

Actually GSP (German Shorthair Pointers)   great dogs.....lots of energy

I had another set Kellie and Kody over 16 years ago and I lost one to ethyl Glycol poisoning (Anti freeze)

What a Tragedy.........had a basketball hoop/net and filled with water to anchor it.
put anti freeze in the closed tub to keep from freezing...........

apparently sometime over the winter the top split and Kellie was able to consume enough to kill her.

needless to say that was disposed of and a $1000,00 vet bill and a dead dog.

Really a bad time for the whole family........

took many years before we could get another dog

Not nearly so regal as a German Shorthair Pointer.  But when a small Greyhound passes out for the night it really passes out.

But, I call him "Chester The Molester"... there ain't a leg he don't like ::)

Good family dog, smart, and very protective, a very loving dog...one of the family.

I think that is a requirement to have at least one pet named Chesty...we had this big ole black cat named Chesty.  Not a cat person, but he was super cool.

Nice dog!

Here is a visitor we had a few weeks ago. We are ready for him to come visit again. He was not even afraid of me, I can not say the same about him. He was standing just a few feet behind the cars.

It has been rumored that one of those was around our area too. Supposed to be pretty dangerous. Haven't seen any tracks but heard some strange crying coming out of the woods. Would love to shoot one with the camera.

You have to love those deep chested skinny dogs

they are graceful and have tons of energy

their endurance is endless......talk about a  true Marine.....those dogs are incredible

I had a very large aggressive lab attack my dogs (mine were under my control) I released them so they would have a chance to get away and after

about a half hour of him chasing them, he fell over exhausted

my dogs thought he was just playing............he would have torn them apart if he could had caught them......

I am not so sure about the "not as Regal" part

Greyhounds were dogs of the Pharaohs   not many as Regal as those

My dogs were just Germans Being Germans wanting an versatile gun /bird dog that would retrieve and would hunt all day long and none of that long hair

mess to clean up........they were strictly function......form was a bonus

Big Greyhounds; maybe.  The little Italian Greyhounds though; just short term super fast lap dogs with a tendency toward being occasionally gassy. :2vrolijk_21:
