DAY 16--Woke up to sunny skies---perfect riding weather by noon--then some showers in afternoon. The countryside has changed since the Cassiar---rolling hills, hay fields, lakes, good roads. Afternoon traffic got bad. Sunday people returning home from the weekend or vacation I guess. Hwy 97 South of Prince George was up and down a valley with magnificent views--openings in the trees where you could see for miles. Everything was so green. It was a two lane road with passing lanes every 5 miles or so. It was kinda funny because when we hit a passing lane a lot of them were going up hill and everyone would jockey for position. The first one would pass and pull in, then the second would pass both and pull in and the third, pretty soon the last one was the first. Everyone would race when they hit the passing lanes and then slow down when it merged.
