It's on the HD website. At least for a quick second.

I'd rather have your 2009 Yellow Bird than any electric bike. Just saying.

Hey all it will need is a set of pipes, and a long cord.

Look ma, no exhaust.  Good on 'em for trying something closer to modern than they've ever yet managed.  Makes no difference to me though.  I'm not buying their stuff.

^^ Little single piston rear and only a single smallish-looking dual piston front brake.  If the brakes are any indication it's going to leave the best part of the crotch out of "crotch-rocket."

I'm wondering if it takes Dino electricity (coal produced) or Synthetic (Nuclear produced) to run properly  ::)

I assume they use a Chinese electric motor, to make sure the reliability isn't any better than the current gasoline powered product.  They would hate to raise expectations for their mainstream consumers.

First picture of the scrolling news screen on the HD website this morning is Project Livewire....and the pic of the bike in question.  Guess they had to have another catch phrase since Project Rushmore has done so well..... :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :orange: :bananarock: :P

Click the "Check it out" link and lots of pics and a couple more videos.  An electric Harley....whod'a thunk it?

I like it.
Lets see,
1)  A few solar panels at Eagles Nest in MV to charge it.
2)  A CVO version.

Hmmmm, life would be fun.
I'd get a charge out of that.

 ;D

"Project LiveWire is more like the first electric guitar – not an electric car," said Mark-Hans Richer, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Harley-Davidson Motor Company. "It's an expression of individuality and iconic style that just happens to be electric. Project LiveWire is a bold statement for us as a company and a brand."
The bike offers a visceral riding experience with tire-shredding acceleration and an unmistakable new sound.
"The sound is a distinct part of the thrill," said Richer. "Think fighter jet on an aircraft carrier. Project LiveWire's unique sound was designed to differentiate it from internal combustion and other electric motorcycles on the market."
