Anyone change their front tire out to the Dunlap D408 MH90-21? The tread matches the D407 on the rear and the dual compound seems to last twice as long. I just ordered one for the front of my Dyna, as the original at 9k is getting down there. (The rear D407 has at least 2/3 left.)  I have the second set of them on my Street Glide and got almost 20k out of the first set.

The D408 front tires aren't dual compound (Multi-Tread in Dunlop speak) like the D407 rear tires.  But I don't see any reason after looking at the specs for the original D402 and the D408 in the same size why it shouldn't work.  And as you noted the tread pattern is a better match for your rear tire.

Thank you Jerry, I appreciate your input.

Anyone have any personal experience with this one?

Low mileage often results from underinflated tires. The front tires seems particularly suseptable to wear and cupping with pressures down even slightly. I ruined a brand new 591 in 3000klms by neglecting to check pressure before a trip. At about 2000klm I noticed a humming sound, suspecting a bearing at first, then found tire pressure was down form 30 to 27.
Make sure the tire pressures match the recommended specs as a minimum or even 1-2 lbs above.
The narrower the tire, the more critical is seems to maintain pressures. fwiw twinotter
