Will be interesting to see how the show ends... as "hollywood" as it is I'm going to miss the anticipation of seeing what they will come up with next and watching.

Not sure if it still applies but I remember an early interview with Kurt Sutter the creator of the series and he said it was following "Hamlet" and if that is so then I think everyone is supposed to be dead in the end but it's a long time since I read Shakespeare.........Who knows?

Interesting thought... ending like that leaves the door open for a future series spin off... I like that idea!!!

I can see a continuance or spin-off as a possibility. When I was in CA I observed a lot of people wearing SOA merchandize - hats, tees, etc. It is a popular program on many fronts.

In a recent interview, Sutter mentioned another series idea but going back in time, not forward, and telling the story of the SOA beginning.  Would be an interesting show, no doubt.
As for this season, I'm looking forward to it.  From the preliminary interviews, looks like not all the characters that start this season alive will end that way....actually, most of them won't if you believe the pre-season chatter.
I like Neal's idea....would be a great way to end this show.  I've enjoyed SOA but am ready for it to come to an end....just got really dark last season.

Although entertaining to watch (and I do) the glorification of true "outlaw" motorcycle gangs is near the pinnacle of Hollywoods' hypocrisy. The entire industry is anti-NRA, anti-death penalty, anti-violence but enjoys making billions off it.  Sutter has presented "Sons" as one of the worst examples, with gun, porn, and drug distribution, add to that murder, arson, assault, prostitution and almost every other crime against persons imaginable. Clay Morrow and now Jax Teller are silhouettes in the likeness of Sonny Barger and Taco Bowman, ruthless, deadly leaders of truly immoral, dangerous people.

I would not expect many of us here would be interested in that lifestyle, but the vicarious weekly adventure draws us into their world for a brief encounter that we can fantasize about, without the real life consequences. "If you have to ask, you probably wouldn't understand" is one of our catch phrases, but in this case "A biker is a whole lot different than a motorcycle enthusiast" might be more appropriate.

Yeah, I've got it recording, I'm interested in the ending, but witnessing the "lunatic fringe" portrayed as "heroes" is at times, personally offensive. I think I like "Cop" shows better.

yep, two hours worth.  Looks like most if not all of the episodes for this final season will be 1.5 hours or longer.  Looking forward to how they start from the end last season.

the show is kind of like  a cartoon, they shoot auto weapons an watch other, from 100 ft, and no one gets killed...

In the end everyone is dead except Gemma who has no family to take care of...kind of dark.  Hope I am wrong.
