Well, this is just me but I wouldn't buy any touring bike that was older than 2009. The bike by itself is ok to me but I'm not real crazy about the triple red, seats, bags, tourpack. jmo. The 40,000+ miles on the odometer would worry me also.
But if you really like it why not?

I know and your right,
I do have a better bike and it's getting better all the time with all of the mods I keep putting on it,
it was just one of those "oh lookie here" stupid finds and subjects

I don't think I will buy another bike no matter what it is with more than 10k on the Odometer now
not that mine having 29k has anything wrong with it,
but

 it sure looks like it would be a "buyers" market, not a "sellers" market! on used bikes

the 01 will go on the Trophy shelf in the garage
 if I think I'm done with it and want to move up

just thinking down the line which? and Road King's seem to be in my favorites list

I am a fan of red but that red seat and the gator bags have got to go. A nice simple black would look good to offset the red.
