How about a white stripe down the far left and far right side of the rear turn signals. Then a blue stripe on the inner side of the rear turn signals tie them together under the license plate?

It looks too black because the colors are reversed when compared to most stock HD paint jobs.  Usually the darker color is on the bottom and the "real" color is on the top and therefore would cover the back of the bike.  JMO

Took the tour pack back to the painters to have some color added. The painter quoted $650 for a few stripes. So, the owner decided to live with the all black ass of the bike and not have it done at this time. At least he knows it needs some paint back there. Will prob do it this summer.   Just waiting on some small parts to come in from the mother ship. then the final touches and she is all done.  Cheers for now.

When the owner is riding the bike he can't see the rear end of it anyway!
I'd leave it as is!

I would do the blue/white thing just in the center recessed area, so that it still looks black from the side and back.  That way it all looks black above the bag lids and from the back.

Cost aside from it all, I believe anything he would add to the chopped tour pac would detract from the lines created by the great paint job.  The only thing that would work would be some color to the rear of the pac.  I think it looks great the way it is.  Someone coming up to pass would expect an all black motorcycle but be pleasantly surprised to see the lines/color of the paint when beside or in front.  Looks great the way it turned out IMO.

How's the motor/oil filter deal working out?  No leaks yet?

Excellent perspective!!  to like the way it looks they way it is. But a small splash of blue in the center of the top lid would be my recommendation. Will pass this on to the owner. Cheers.

Looks like he decided on an emblem, I can see traces of one in the 3rd picture up, as far as the paint maybe a little blue in the top of the lid with a bit of white striping.  But hey it looks good either way. 40 grand on a wreacked bike is a lot of cash.

Oh ya the emblem. Yes he went back to the stock one. After trying 3 different ones the stock round one looked the best. Will have more picks soon. Cheers.

So are you the owner or employee of Aviation? I've heard about you guys from a guy I worked with, but other than that, your shop is kind of under the radar.

I am just a customer of Raphs.  Raph is the owner of this awesome shop and every one is like family. The atmosphere at Aviation is just the best. So relaxed and respectful. All his customers are by word of mouth and he is very busy. The guy has hands of gold I tell you. Never a scratch or a ding and always a perfect result. A total whiz with electrical work and stereo stuff.  Can get all the cool billet parts from Europe and all the awesome manufactures in the US like RSD, Yaffie PM. This is actually a big thing for us up here in Canada. Hard to get cool stuff fast.  Any way, cant say enough good things about the shop.  Come and check iy out on your own. Cheers Ernest.

Easy to get cool stuff fast- get a US shipping address and get free shipping. Drive the 90 minutes down to NY, pay $5 to pick up the box, grab some gas and chicken wings while you're there. If you declare it, pay HST, or sometimes the border guard lets you slide without sending you in to pay. I don't buy big ticket bike parts here unfortunately- big rip off.

I'm a bit west of them, but I work nearby. I will definitely check out the shop sometime.

Yeah I should check them out sometime. I haven't heard much about them, but what I have heard has been very good.
