Tax
« on: May 14, 2015, 11:51:15 AM »

I live in Canada but I'm sure this applies to most countries.

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.

Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for peanuts
Anyway!

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid.

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

Not one of these taxes existed 65 years ago, & our nation was one of the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had a large middle class, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

I imagine many of the folks here are either on the affluent or comfortable side, I am probably not alone.  But for Pete's sake, I have been taking it in the shorts on taxes here lately.  Kids gone, Momma now working so U.S suddenly thinks I'm rich.

21 minutes till EOB and I am definitely talking to what's left of that 15 y/o (bottle of scotch)!   :cucumber:
