Yeah, but my DVR still has two or four or some such episodes from end of last season I've not got to yet.  Hope the new SoA episodes don't conflict with new episodes of Dr. Who.  Dr. Who gets higher priority....

It has been a LONG wait since last December.... :2vrolijk_21:

Besides Justified, SOA has to be the BEST, freshest and most entertaining program on the tube.  I've got over 300 channels with DTV and only watch about 6 of them but worth the money just for Sons.

Season 4 went on sale on August 28th.  I always save the season (DVR) and watch it in the few weeks leading up to the next season.  I am looking forward to the new leadership and how this chapter will develop.

I did not watch it the first season as I thought this is going to be a lame show.  Caught one of the first season episodes when FX showed all the 1st season right before season 2 began and I was hooked.  Not the life that I would want for myself but hey, I wouldn't want to live on a spaceship flying through the universe either and I'm a Star Trek fan.... :bananarock:

X5.  Another show you guys might like is Breaking Bad...believe it's on AMC.  Isn't it funny that all the shows worth watching are on 2nd tier networks...ABC, NBC, and CBS are awful.

We were not able to catch last season, so waited, bought the BlueRay last week.  Have 1 more episode to watch tonight before the season opener.  Guess I'll be falling asleep in meetings tomorrow  ;)

Breaking Bad is a great show.  Another one (in a totally different vein) is Mad Men.

I agree with the opinion that there is little to see on the big 3.

I would DVR it to miss the commercials but I can't stand to wait another day to watch it. Besides, my cable company provides it on demand as well ...

Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever grow up and learn to have patience when it comes to motorcycles.

King, I DVR it and wait until it's been on for 15/20 minutes then start watching.  I can watch "real time" and still skip through the commercials.  It usually works out that I'm at the end of the recording about the time it's actually over.

There ain't NOTHIN' on the networks except for NCIS....just about it for the networks.  I only watch NCIS because they actually eliminate the bad guys and don't let 'em rot in prison.... :2vrolijk_21:

Yea 17 minutes in is what you need for an hour show to skip all the crap. BUT I've noticed on a lot of my favorites that they now fool you during commercials they'll play like a 15 second clip of the current show and then go right back to commercials about halfway through commercial break. Ba$tards!

The club house is about 1/4 mile from my shop, and it has been abuzz with production crews for a month now. The cast will ride by the shop after filming is done a couple times a week.
I still haven't watched the show!

Based on the story so far, I would bet if Clay did buy the trike, Opie would go further off the deep end with his dad's killer riding his dad's old bike.  Would make for an interesting story line plus since Clay can't hold one up anymore....never know how this will go which is why it's such a great show.

One of the guys at worked asked me today if the same person was playing Tara that started the show.  I laughed and said yep, same gal but she's aged a bit plus they have made her look a bit harder AND she has to put up with Peg Bundy...a really mean, evil, vindictive Peg Bundy.. :2vrolijk_21:

Sounds an awful lot like "90210" that mife wife used to watch or "As the world Turns"... that my mom used to watch... :nixweiss:

Yes, I did try to watch it a couple of times, but it just reinforced the above statement?

I'm done now...

Haven't seen the latest episode yet but just watched the replay.
I would've thought bad boy Shane/Boyd could have passed over a part like this. Actually thought he would have turned up as one of the members like blondie did.

The first few episodes were pretty nasty , hated to see Opie go down.   It is starting to get good and the last one was a hoot with the Tranny

Great show...
down loading from I-Tunes as we go along...  Nice to put the season on the Ipod as it is released within 24hrs of airing ...

This is a great thread - really enjoyed the commentary.  You guys have pretty much covered it; so nothing to add yet...

Will be interesting to see how things play out with Kara-Kara and the Charming Heights deals.

The season is starting off with some pretty heavy crap.  Wonder if the pace will stay put; or if things will purculate for a couple of episodes.

We'll all find out next week.

Ummm, kept up the pace this week.  We were staring at the TV with our jaws hanging at the end.  My wife said "intense".  Teaser next week looks heavy too.

This season has been the most intense (drama/violence) of all prior seasons. I used to wait a day or so and watch it DVR'd but now I only wait about a half hour into the show and start watching just so I can fast forward thru the commercials and watch it that night.

Anyone notice the new bikes they now ride? Kalen (sp?) the Irishman selling the guns shot up their bikes and Jax told him he would send him the bill for the bikes. Jax and Chibs were on Street Glides when the sheriff ran Bobby off the road. Wonder if Bobby will now get a Street Glide? Suprised they were not the denim black ones.   :pumpkin:

Was nice to see them on the Street Glides - they look like they are riding a real Harley now vs. the those silly modded ones they were before.

I could see where hurting the little kids might turn some people off. The whole burn the daughter thing was a little over the top.I noticed in the previews for next week though that there didn't seem to be any mourning, so maybe the blood drips are Gem's

They were - the camera pan on the last scene was from the back seat with the kids to the bottom of the open driver's door.  WAY too many turns and unknowns.  And the previews are almost always taken out of context.  Like last week - Clay to Unser you would have thought it was Wayne's last show.

Real Soap Opera.  Never thought I would watch one.

This year, for me, it is WAY out of line.  Burning a girl, murdering the corrections officer's wife, murdering the nurse. Can't see any entertainment value in those story lines.    I, and many many others,  do get one hell of a laugh seeing grown men wearing SOA clothing and dressing like the actors in the show! Don't see many wearing OCC chit anymore, before long all that SOA crap will be hidden away and never worn again!

Yep, season 5 is a bit rough but it's still a great show.  Beats dancing with the has-been stars!  As for folks wearing SOA clothing....I was just wondering if anyone of us have any Cowboys/Chargers/Saints/insert College team here/Giants/Bears/ clothing hanging in their closet that they wear on game day or anytime during the week and NEVER played a down for any one of those teams....and yet are the first to negatively comment on somebody wearing an SOA shirt.  Those in glass houses...... ::)

I agree.  It stretches credulity to the breaking point.  Looks like Juice, Clay and Tig will be going?  What's going to happen when?  All the old guard is being killed off and that new fat bearded guy who was a prospect last year is going to have to show me something I haven't see to believe he is a full fledged club member.

Might as well admit you have a SOA shirt or two while you're at it...      :pineapple:

I have to admit that I kind of believe any TV branded fad clothing is a little cheesy.  I think the only T-shirt I ever bought based on a show was from the movie Sixth Sense with Bruce Willis. The shirt says on the front, 'I see Dead Dumb People'.  I wear it whenever my wife drags me somewhere I don't want to go.

Hey, this is a show about outlaws.  Killing prison guards, puting kids in situations where they get hurt, etc. is realistic for the life these guys live.  If you've noticed, after Jax became the pres, he's becoming more and more like Clay. I think what we'll see as the show moves towards its end, is everyone getting killed off, going to prison, etc. Juice and Tig have to be next on the hit list.  Best show on TV.

It's all entertainment, so you have to take it for what it's worth.  I do believe they went over the edge with all the criminal influences over the last couple of seasons, but hey, it's better than 9/10 of the reality chit on tv today.

I suspect Clay does go through with his new club, and next season is about a head to head rival between the two clubs, while keeping some of the criminal element messing with all of them.

Great assumption.  But I wonder if Bobby will follow Clay since he is on the fence with Jax.  Stay tuned  :o

Soap operas love the Wizard of Oz "dream" scenario.  Most of the time they leave out the ruby slippers part though.

Another way for Opie to return is to have an "evil twin."  Maybe his name could be "Mopie?"

Also, somebody on SOA needs to get amnesia.  Clay or Gemma or Tara?  All 3 at the same time?

Show is better than a lot of what is on tv.

Interesting season ender.  That Tig thing was a big surprise.  Gemma ratting on Tara was another. I could see her shafting Clay, but Tara too?  You just know Jax is going to find out quickly, so what did that gain her?  Weird how they backed her into a corner needlessly after helping put away Clay.  Oh, well, next season is shaping up to be another wing dinger.

I'm not sure... he may be in on it... after Tara told him she was taking the kids and moving he may have decided the hell with her. :nixweiss: Wouldn't suprise me one bit... he's done a lot worse to get "his way".

While I'm not 100% sure that Gemma didn't rat out Tara....  I'm wondering if maybe the retired marshall may have pushed it after Otto's commitment, just to try and bring the association connection with Tara and the club.   8)
