I'll wait for the price to come down closer to $300 for the amps.....$600 is a rip !

And some would say that 30k for a motorcycle is a rip as well [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

It certainly is expensive.  But so is $30k for a bike or better than $150 mounted for one lonely tire.  They're motorcycles, it's discretionary spending for enjoyable exercises.  Not necessarily toys.  But enjoyable nonetheless.

If it really jacks up the radio (and it does ever so sweetly) to a plateau it didn't have and couldn't have reached on its own, does so without hurting anything else, does so with a manageable level of work, accomplishes what I wanted, and makes me happy about the gain in the process than $600 is still a lot; but it's not too much.

My new Hawg Wired amp with speakers passed the 80 mph sound test for me. They sound great. I have 2 more tests, How it sounds at 80 MPH to the girlfriend, and blowing the sox off my buddy's when they are sitting next to me at a stop light.

Cost too much = yes, so does everything else on this bike.
Would I do it again = yes
Would I have bought them if I was satisfied with what I already have = no

I could have waited until the price came down, but I don't remember the price of anything coming down on these bikes.

Just my $.02 worth,
Great Job on the install HD-Dude, thank you very much.

Hey SAC,
I don't even have to bring it by, you only live about 10 miles away. I'll just turn it up.  [smiley=jalapeno.gif]

Okay Jim you are right HEAR the difference.
I got a chance to hear them, and they sound pretty good, still haven't heard them riding down the road yet, or from my house with Fred turning them up while he is at his house  ;D

Hawg-Wired amp & Speakers.  Expensive, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

It's great that the response to these amp kits has been so universally pleased.  They really do perform as good or better than advertised and it's a night and day difference when you hear the audio system the first time after the install is done.  Thanks again to Dude for initially pointing out the product.

I finally installed my setup last weekend, I have not had much time on the bike at all since the install but I'm sure the in the wind review will be as good as the others have expirienced. I'm hoping on Sunday i'll get out for some "me time" on the bike. I also used the speaker grill from Hawg-wired on mine. You can see the red speaker behind them which looks really cool on the red bike [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Oh man, did you have to mention something like that?

Oh well, I'm waiting for the new speakers before it gets opened back up anyway....  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Hey Don,
I figured I'd tease you some more on the looks of the Hawg-wired grill. Here's a pic:

I like the look a lot but others have said they prefer not to see the speakers

Hmmmm, Jim; after seeing them I think I'm gonna fall in to the "others" category.  Might look cooler getting to watch them bounce around though.

Screw what they look like though.  The whole setup sounds great.  And, to borrow a phrase from one of our brethren; there endeth that lesson  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
