Speaker upgrade
« on: March 03, 2020, 02:49:30 PM »

Will 6.5" speakers fit in 2013 down front lower fairings? Currently running 5.25". Wondering if I will need adapters or if they will bolt in.

Cheers

Paul

ps, Will be temporary as I will upgrading amp, rears to 6x9 and fronts to other 6.5" speakers. Just wondering if I can do my fronts right meow

Yes you will need adapters. Arc audio made a great product I used years ago. Stuart.

Update: 6.5" will bolt in. 3 of 4 bolt holes line up. I will be redrilling as I can use the factory speaker grill, will have some slight tweeter interference but will look stock. Using JBL speakers as they are 2 ohm. I screwed up, thought they were 4 ohm when I was purchasing(doh) my future upgrades. Sounds decent.

Cheers
