If the security system was armed when the bike went dead it could be what keeping it from firing. I would take the tech advise and slow charge the battery. Then try to arm and disarm the security system and give it a try to start.

A concern though is that you said on the first attempt it almost started.  Was it actually firing then?  Or were you just hearing a little extra noise from a flooded cylinder?

The security system was disarmed and recheked when trying to start before and after battery was jumped.

When I first tried it, it cranked for about 10 seconds and it popped like it was going to start then I heard the click click click. When I looked at this bike a month ago it did the same thing but after jumping it, it started right up.

Thanks for the help guys, I am going to try and trailor it home tonight after work.

If you jumped it from your car (or truck) both times and depending on how long the cables were hooked up, you may have already fried your battery.  The charging rate and amps on a car are a whole lot more than on a motorcycle, even thow they're both 12 volts.  Another good idea, of course, would be the Battery Tender to maintain the battery when the bike isn't being used.

Your fuel is another consideration, unless you had some stabil in it.

12v battery to 12v battery jumping won't, in and of itself, fry anything.  Most batteries in new cars are actually surprisingly small.  They run off the heavy alternators.  But even if the battery's storage capacity is larger the load is determined by what is providing the load; i.e. the motorcycle.  So if you need to jump start a bike from a car or truck be sure and just hook the cable to the respective battery connections and then start the bike.  Don't start the donor vehicle after you've got the cables hooked to provide an extra "boost" though.  The larger alternator on the donor vehicle very well might put out enough of charge to do the electronics on the bike some damage.

Well here is an update. Got the bike home and charged up the battery over night. Tested the battery and its ok. Checked all the fuses: ok. The fuel pump does come on. With the plugs in and cranking it over, I am still getting no spark. I guess I will have to make arrangements to get it in to the dealer.

The dealer has a scanner it will tell what code it is throwing. You may have fried your ECM. Good Luck and please keep us posted.

Reo,
You stated that you "turned her over a few times " with the plugs out. I'm no mechanic but I hope you grounded the plugs-my understanding is you can damage the electroinics if you don,t.
Good Luck!
