Greetings,
Looking for a good quality source for non H-D leather Jackets and Chaps. I need size 3XLT. What I'd like is good quality leather that doesn't look like a bad motorcycle movie from the fifties. No badges, patches, advertisements, etc., just a good conservatively styled good riding jacket.
I am through paying too much for H-D stuff even though I buy it at ten over cost. I don't know who designs their stuff these days but I can't find any I like. I do have H-D's textile Competition Functional Jacket. Its great for normal weather or sudden rain but even with the vents zipped shut the wind comes in. The leather version of that is obsolete.
Good non H-D leather jackets in big and tall who do you all recommend.

I have a Joe Rocket leather that I really like. It is all leather but it also has a method to unzip *most* of the leather of in one huge piece and that leaves you witha mesh jacket with the back and the backs of the sleeves intact along with the armored areas.
I happen to think it's pretty awesome.

California Leather Creations has been worn for many years by those here in the west. They're located in Santa Rosa, California. I don't believe they have a web site but here's there reviews.... http://www.yelp.com/biz/california-leather-creations-santa-rosa

Seems a lot of the HD Dealers sell this brand. I think my chaps are that brand, yep just checked. They have held up well even after slight melt from the ol Thunderheader. :huepfenlol2:
