Hello All

So I ordered my first Harley, an 18 CVO SG. I grew up on bikes both dirt and street but have not ridden for twenty years and I turned 60 first of the year. Now that the Kids are out of the house and the wife has finally relented on me buying a bike I put a deposit down back in Jan. Scheduled delivery is pushed back to April.

Had to take my MC endorsement class and smoked the class, it was a blast, it was like riding a bicycle, you never forget and my twenty years of racing experience helped and hurt a little. The female instructor didn't like some of my habits like 2 finger braking and starting in second gear but the rest of the class especially the girls asked my for tips and tricks as the instructors were not informative enough IMHO.

At the end of Feb I ordered a king tour pack and back rest hoping it would arrive around the same time as the bike. The craziest thing and shocked everyone when it arrived in 5 days! The same day I ordered a FXRG switchback jacket, it took 10 days to arrive.

Fortunately the dealer (Seminole Harley in Sanford FL) let me apply my discounts early in that anything purchased with the bike gets a 15% discount.

I've taken 2 test rides at two different dealers. I feel like a kid at Christmas Time waiting on this 117 beast to come in and I sold my 66' Nova SS so i can pay cash for the whole thing.

Jeez that’s a long wait, but will be worth it. Suppose I was lucky with mine, went into the dealer to talk about a trade 2 weeks ago & he said they had one on order that left the US a few days earlier, it will be here by the end of this month 😎
