180.  But if you look in the 2006 big book, you can get a fat tire kit to make it a 240 (or a 249 in DCFiremann's case) for only $3499.  It became available in October 2005. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I believe, that's for just the unpainted parts So, figure $750-$800 for paint and  probably 8 hrs of labor at $80 an hour for another $640 and you're looking at $5,000 by the time you're rolling down the road  One 06 upgrade I would suggest would be to relocate your ignition switch from the side of the bike under the seat to the right front frame downtube. Easy and quick mod and IMO the 05 location sucks

For another $5,000 you can buy an 06!!!    [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Change the ignition location?  Great!  Another way to spend my money!!!  This site has a way of creating a vacuum on the wallet, doesn't it?  Maybe we should rename it cvohoover.com!!  Good thing the money for my children's college funds get taken straight out of my check!  Otherwise, they'd be at the mercy of the Lottery!

Hey V,
Cheer up, you could have done what I did with Elvis. I threw in the towel completely and bought every freakin thing that I could possibly have bought. That way when somebody says this or that is great; instead of getting all lathered up and running off to the local dealer cause I gotta have it. I'm good, I've already got it  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

On the '05's you can run a 200 tire without any modifications.

06 Model will handle certain 260s without mods too...Given the life span of this tires, I will move towards that area when a replacement is necessary.

You can also do the H-D 240 mod WITHOUT replacing your nicely painted stock rear fender. Some people say it makes the tire look fatter with that skinny fender.

Give Jerry a shout @ Hogpro.com ( California ) for the phone numbers etc. He can help you or check out vmod.com
( Wisconsin ) and ask for Steve. V-rods are the only thing Steve does and he can answer all of your questions as well. You can do the 240 conversion with the stock swingarm that you have on the 05, I did. Have a good one. Pat.
