Hey B B,
Tell us who Ron Finch is and how to contact him.
Ron Finch is one of the most long standing motorcycle customizers around. His creations are the stuff of legend and each and every one, seemingly more stylistic and artful than the previous, each and every one of his creations was also built to run and be ridden. As a young man of 18 when EasyRiders published it's first issue, I dreamed of being a Ron Finch and later an Arlen Ness. I believe Ron lives in Minnesota. His creations were featured many times in EasyRiders and other biker magazines in the early 70's. You might recall seeing motorcycles that seemingly had no oil or gas tanks with round stock bent and twisted artfully over the entire motorcycle. Teutel Jr basically did a Ron Finch ripoff when he built the Spiderman bike and even more so when he built himself the green one that had the tank hidden in the rear fender. Finch bikes also were very heavily engraved as was the style in the late 60's and early 70's. Every inch of motor, transmission, primary (any mechanical part basically) was engraved artfully like you'd see a master gunsmith do. I wasn't sure if Ron was still about but he was featured in the show Biker Build-Off on a couple of occasions. Google Finch's Custom Styled Cycles for his web site which contains all the info you need about this incredible artist and biker. He is truly a legend.
