I have found an 06 Bushtec Quantum Sport trailer color matched to my 06 FLHTCUSE Black candy crimsom complete with stripes. A 1 condition. $4,000

I can always sell my Motorvation Engineering trailer, what do you guys and gals think?

I noticed that one on the website. I was serious about buying one new
in 06, but the list price was over $7300 at the time. I have the same model
but a single color, and love it!

I try not to - think that is. It usually gets me in trouble.

But since you asked I say go for it. That is a beautiful trailer with several upgrades that I can see. You won't be sorry with a Bushtec and the paint job looks awesome.

A few comments Jim
Where are the hubcaps?
Mine is a Quantum also and I paid a lot less. But doesn't have custom paint.
$3K to $3.5K would be better.
I like the chrome bumper on that one better than what's on mine.
If you have to pay $4K for it how much can you get for your other trailer to offset your expense.
A used Bushtec is 10,000 times better than a new Chinese junk trailer.
Mine came with a spare wheel/tire, does that one?
What do I think?
For $3,500.00 I think it would be a great deal.
ONLY, if you plan on keeping the 06 for a few more years.

Depends on what a new what like it costs, if a new one is 6-7K, shoot its a good deal at 4K.

To me it would depend on what you could get the same thing except solid black for. I can't see that the matching paint would be worth alot extra in my book. It's not like the trailer will be on the bike all the time. JMHO

If you've been wanting a trailer for some time I wouldn't hesitate. They are great to have, worst case scenario.........you'll have to paint it to match your next scoot.

It's a perfect match to your bike. If you're going to keep the bike for even as little as 2 more years, I'd get it. You can alway have it painted to match the next bike you get (if you get another). The '06 SEUC you have, to me, is the best color for that year...it's the first year of the SEUC...it has the "good" 103" motor. There's a lot of reasons to keep the bike, and the trailer has several options, plus the nice paint.

A good rule of thumb is ask yourself some questions.. each yes is worth 1 point

Do ya need it ?? disregard this question .. it sometimes confuses the issue ..
do ya want it ?? a little or a lot scores the same ..
Can ya afford it ?? remember .. ya can always sell somethin else (prioritize)
Are ya chit about it gonna catch chit about it anyway ??
Will ya look good and grin reaall hard after the acquisition ??

If ya come up with a raw score of say 1.5 .. I'd say go ahead and hook that baby up and drag it home ..

Not selling the Bushtec is a sentiment that's hard to get away from. I've been strongly considering selling mine for a few months now but haven't yet pulled the trigger.

A local here bought a new trailer last fall. He's a doc in the latter years of his practice with a lot of time off now. He and I do the work on his bike at my place and drink beer together occasionally. The guy makes one bike trip each year to visit sons who both live in lower Michigan. That's the only trip he makes and the only trip he wants to make. He goes to see them and they all ride together for a week. That two week trip is the only time his trailer will see use each year.

Doc not only said I could use it any other time, he wants me to. Just so it will get some more regular use. So for keeping it maintained I've got access. It's hard to say "no" to that. It's a little bigger than my Roadstar too. Still been hard to put my nice Roadstar up on the market though.

I know, I know..... That's what I keep telling myself. Then I'm stuck with the reality that there's a slightly larger unit 20 minutes away that I'm encouraged to use all year long except for two weeks in the middle of the hottest part of August. I'm stupid either way on this one

Hadn't thought of it in that context at all. Trailer sale as seed money for a new toy project. That does make a kind of sense I can buy in to. Maybe an old FXR project? Hmmm....

Well as it turns out the other guy had the desire but no cash. They accepted my offer and the trailer is mine. No spare but Garmet bag, and yes I intend to keep the 06 until they bury me, I will add but not subtract from toys (other than the Road Rod which is for sale)

Just went back to look at the original picture. Hadn't noticed the accessory wheels the first time. Given what Bushtec charges for those that's a great price. Very nice score. Have fun with it.

Thanks Don, come to find out this is the trailer they used in all their photo shoots and it has not been pulled much at all. Going by to see a friend of mines widow today, he had a Bushtec and bought a set of chrome wheels for his, going to try and score the spare at a decent price.

I saw what I believe to be that same trailer at DB Bike Week this year for sale at the Bushtec trailer...no price on it but for sale...
