Where To Rent a Touring Bike in Oregon?
« on: June 04, 2015, 07:08:15 PM »

The wife and I will be in Oregon the last week of July.  Would like to rent a touring bike for a few days to see the Oregon coast.  Appreciate any information for the best place to rent from HD dealer, renting company or even individual.

Thanks,

Cowboy

Check with Terry & Karen (Rooster and Mrs. Rooster on this forum).  They live near the coast and know that area well......great people, too!  Hell, they might even schedule sunshine for your visit.  :2vrolijk_21:

If you don't specify what kind, you get our patented "liquid sunshine."   8)

There might be others, but the only places I know of in Oregon are:
1.  http://www.motoquest.com/motorcycle-rental-round-trip/portland-oregon-4
2.  http://www.eaglerider.com/portland
3.  http://www.wildhorsehd.com/motorcycle-harley-service--rentals

Are you flying in or driving? What area are you looking from. Portland would be Eagleriders, Latus  and Paradise are the HD stores, not sure if they still rent.
 Latus 503-249-8653
 Eaglerider 855-231-8800
 Paradise HD 503-924-3700
These are in the Portland area.
We live close to Lincoln City/Pacific City/Tillamook. We would enjoy showing you our area.  :2vrolijk_21:  FYI let the gas station attendant hand you the gas pump. In a car, you can NOT pump your own gas. I try and give everyone a heads up on our quirks.
Stay in touch, we've been known to ride 4 hours to meet someone for lunch.

We're flying in to Portland, wife's from Albany.  Stayed at the Inn at Spanish Head for our honeymoon 8 yrs ago, so planning on staying there again.   Want to tour the coast on the bike for two or three days.  Be great to meet up and ride.

Rental prices online seem a lot higher than my local HD dealer.  I'll keep checking.
