Price on Progressive 440's
« on: June 28, 2005, 05:35:27 PM »

Okay, I'm tryin' to buy a set of Progressive 440's for my SEEG.  The best price I can find is $399.99 with no shipping.  Does anybody know of a better deal out there, or is this the best I'm gonna get?  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Don't think you can beat that price unless you have a dealer that you can work with.  HD stores pay 362.00 for the progressives.  If you've got a connect that will order them, that would be the cheapest way to go.

Yep, I just ordered mine yesterday.  Wally's World will save you another $11.00.  Here's the link.............

Which ones did you order?  I'm thinking about the 12.5 HD's because I wiegh just a tad over 200#, so add the pax and the luggage...  and the 12.5 will give me a little extra clearance and I'm told I won't be able to "see" the height difference...  and advice/comment? [smiley=confused5.gif]

I ordered the 12" regular duty.  I wanted to stay exactly with stock height so that it doesn't effect the geometrics in the handling.  However, if I had it to do again, I'd order the 12" HD (heavy duty) as I weigh 225 lbs. and often run with the tour pack and loaded for the long hauls.  Somebody on here mentioned that at about 200 lbs. it's a toss up.....go with regular duty and crank them up to desired tension or go with HD and leave them down at zero or 1 turn.  Personally, I like a firm set up as I'm an aggressive rider (although I've noticed that changing too, in the past year or so......gettin old).

Yeah, 'er 'uh, JCZ,
Thanks for the info, Bro!  Just ordered a pair of the 11.5's for my "Led Sled!"  According to the information I have, the Low-Profile shocks on it now, are 12" eye to eye.  If I had Spyder's money, I'd go 'head on and order the Legends Air Suspension.  Man, his Motorsickle looks GOOD!  Later--HUBBARD
