New Trailer?
« on: September 05, 2005, 11:29:33 AM »

I thinking of an aluminum featherlite. Model 1610 series single axle, It's 6'-7" x 10' V nose.
Does anyone know if two full baggers fit inside?
I have a flstfse & my buddy has a RK

thanks

You'll need to be 7 foot wide.  We can get two in staggered so the fairings don't knock and a 3rd bagger backed in in the nose.  It is tight but can be done.  Our is not a Vee nose.  We use a 14 foot long trailer.

I'd rather ride, but sometimes we have to get far enough south to be out of the snow.  Know what I mean?

Nope.  Not going to happen in a 6'7" x 10'.  Bikes need to be staggered by about 4' to make a safe load.  In that configurement, the floor is not long enough.  You'll need at least a 14' with 16' being comfortable.  It will also be much easier loading with a full 7' INTERIOR dimension.

I have a Pace  7 X 12 and you can get two baggers in very carefully. The inside of a 7' trailer is 6.5'.  Likewise, a 6' is only 5.5'.  Also, be sure to get torsion supension. It's much smoother and the bikes won't bounce ariound so bad.

Just picked up my new Scooter Hauler last Tuesday...8.5x14 plus the v-nose adss another 3'-4' down the center.  Will haul 3 comfy...still need to buy chocks, thinking Condor.

It matches pretty closely the color of the Flame on the F-350 HD nect to it, very sublte.  I am thinking of having a matching flame added to the trailer but in the Blue of the truck.

I guess no one would fugure you had a Harley in there huh?  Just kidding.  I even took the motorcycle package stickers off my Pace to stay stealth.  Or, I could put a couple of Honda stickers on there.  LOL

You'll be ridin' B!tch since I plan on riding the whole way if I can, but the trailer is a backup.  The trailer is for multiple uses, taking the bikes to/from the shop, winter trips south (Daytona).  If I can ride, I will.

Anything I don't have yet that I neeeeeed....hmmmm, a PWC...still working the wife on that front.  No kids, but we strive to be the favorite Aunt and Uncle!

I have got to add to this....
First don't you senior members need to carry on a conversation somewhere else?
You should know better.

I am truly trying to get some real feed back or advice on a particular trailer to purchase.

Thus, what other Aluminum V nose trailers are out there.  Prefer single axle, 7' x 12' lg

If hauling 2 bikes each worth $30K, I would go tandem axle, torsion suspension and electric brakes, salem vents, one-piece roof and a side door...whatever size you decide upon.
