Bushtec question

(1/1)

DCFIREMANN:
For those of you that had your Bushtec painted at the factory. What was the cost and how was the match and the quality??

Chains:
My 2006 was color matched at the factory and as I recall was $1,800.00 and the color was perfectly matched to The Harley CVO paint scheme

JCZ:
While I didn't have it painted, the original owner did and had it done immediatly upon getting his (now mine) 2013 CVO UC.  Not just this trailer but other Bushtec matched CVO colors are flawless!  I've looked close at several of them and they don't have the paint issues that many CVOs have and the colors are spot on.

I've wondered how they get it so right, immediatly after the new model year CVOs come out.  :nixweiss:

Found my original order from from 02/16/2007 for my Turbo +2 color matched to my cuse2.  Cost of paint was $1,195 which seems very reasonable and I would imagine is substantially higher now - nine years later.

I rode my bike to Bushtec and Andrew Preston, his painter and I spent a couple hours taping up a plain white trailer to get the lines to match favorably with my bike.  As I recall I did leave a side cover with them since this was the first black and orange '07 CVO they had color matched.  Did a great job and it still looks fantastic today after many 000s of miles.   :2vrolijk_21:
