05Yellowdeuce, sounds like a great ride. You're going to be a bit south of Hwy. 50 going across Colorado on to Calif., but if for some reason you end up close to Ely, Nevada and need a place to spend the night, there's a old historic hotel right on the main street in the old part of town (on Hwy. 50)....they're biker friendly, have a security guard that'll watch your scooters all night, let you park 'em right in the front door and even had a ole knucklehead restored in the down-stairs blackjack casino. Got a great steak in the rest. and the rates are reasonable. I'd go out of my way to stay there again. Hwy 50 across Utah and Nevada is breathtaking.....no traffic and vistas like us easterners have never seen. It's like you've gone back in time to cross it on a harley......goes right by the ole wallowed-out 'pony-express' trail....still there. The Grand Tetons just out of 'jellystone' are a blast to cross on a scooter too, if you get up to Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. Dang, makes me wanna ride back out that way......enjoy the ride.
