Just got a new 2011 CVO Road Glide.
« on: July 28, 2011, 05:53:08 PM »

I havent been to this site in along time. Well today I just traded off the old 2008 CVO ultra and picked up a 2011 CVO Road Glide, Riding this beast is like night and day compared to the ultra. I just order new head pipes for it, V&H Power duals, Im thinking of keeping the stock muffler on it. It is such a pain in the A$$ trying to find the right set that I will like..... I do have a set SE that I took off the 2008 Ultra and i really like the sound I got from them. Does anyone know if they will fit on the 2011? Color of the bike is Gray/Black.

Congrats on the bike.  I went through the same struggle on the pipes. Been running Rineharts on my other bikes but I really like the looks of the stock pipes on the 2011 so I put in the  2 1/4" Fulsac power cores along with the X-pipe head pipe. A lot of compliments on the sound of these pipes. Im very pleased.

Congrats on the new scoot   :drink:
Many choices and options avail. on exhaust, But yet very subjective too  :nixweiss:
Fullsac's "B" headpipe mated with 2" baffle and TTS is the best bang for the $
I have done 3 of these set ups within the last 2 weeks, one being mine and two for my close friends.
Night and Day difference in performance, sound, and engine temp. and you keep the oe look too.
Simply a plug and play operation, no dyno time needed (That will $ave more $$ to $pend on more mods too  :2vrolijk_21:)

Congratulations on the new ride!  Yes, the 2008 mufflers will fit.  Your cat is in the head pipe and is the biggest obstacle.   If you search here you can find threads here on its removal.  Good luck!

I have had my cvo Ultra road glide for two weeks now. need 1000 mile service. I was wondering if the stock pipes get louder as the wear. and if I put a fullsack header pipe on it and does the sound change. want louder. Would I have to remap? If i due than will put new cores in to.
