Fulsac-new dyno tune?
« on: June 21, 2012, 04:22:48 PM »

I had some work done on my '08 CUSE3 over the winter. A set of true duals, SERT, high flow AC, set of 4" Rhineharts and a dyno tune. I really liked the way it woke up the 110" but after starting to ride in the spring my wife convinced me that I needed to find a muffler that wasn't quite so loud. (I won't say how she did that, but I think you can imagine) So I ordered a set of 2" cores from Fulsac and put the stock mufflers back on with the new cores. Sound problem solved, but after returning from our first real trip of the year to Tennessee last week I'm wondering if I lost a little performance with the Fulsac cores and I started having a little difficulty in Tennessee when starting first thing in the morning. I haven't been back to the dealership yet, but does anyone have an opinion on whether or not I should have done another dyno tune or isn't there enough difference going from Rhinehart to Fulsac?  :nixweiss:

I went the other way- Fullsac 2.0 to Rinehart 4" slip ons, and never changed my TTS map. I didn't notice any difference or thought it needed a re-tune.

I believe your going to have less flow with the 2" cores over the 4" Rineharts, causing the bike to run rich.  To keep my bike stock appearing that had a full tune, I switched from the 4" Rineharts and went witht  2.25 cores from Fullsac to keep the ssame amount of flow.  Runs great, no decel pop, back fire etc.
