Lowered Springer Question?
« on: September 15, 2007, 08:10:33 AM »

I saw an add from www.kendonusa.com for lowered rockers to lower your springer 1in. Other than making the bike look cooler than it already is does lowering the front end improve handleing and ride or would it make it worse?

Fellow NE Ohioian-
Looks great but not too practical for the roads up here. I have had Springers for 11 years and we don't have much travel in front as it is. To reduce it another inch just means you're bottoming out the front suspension more often which in turn wrecks havoc on the Steering head bearings. Lower the back another 1/2 inch first before you try the front.
There's a bump on Rt 8, south of 303, that brought the bike 8 inches off the ground! The guy in the car next to me said later at a light that I must have gone 15 feet before I hit pavement again and that my ass was about a foot off the seat. I need MORE suspension !
I'm in Tallmadge. Let's get together for a beer before it starts snowing !!!
We could invite Jack too but he's a Steelers fan and I just couldn't stand all the wisecracks after last week

I don't know if I know who Jack is but if he's a sqeeler's fan than he could bye the first round. That's the least he could do to show some sympathy on us for our teams brutal ass beating . I have to ask beerman do you work for a distributor only reason is I have a buddy who works for Coors out in Tiffin get's us some great deals but hates that I'm a bud light guy at heart.

OK,  OK, so I don't read everything around here, but I caught this !

Beer is good, and proves God loves us and wants us to succeed.  B. Franklin 1796 (or something like that).

Having my bike picked up for tires, etc.  Front tire starting to cup, but still balanced.

I have a Steelers story to share with you guys about the playoffs a few years ago in Pittsburg against the Patriots as honored guests of the Rooney Family, not a nice story for them as it turned out, before during and after the game.

Even though still a STEELERS Fan.

And a story about the National Museum of the Marine Corps,  Quantico, Va morning after the inaugural opening sitting at the bar 09:15 hrs drinking a Michalob dark (inside the NMMC).

And.......

And.......

Lastly, would love to have you experience my Jet Scream application, so you can dump that stock unit and get past that stair step power band....... :) :o :) :o :P :P :P
