I think the MoCo heard that complaint loud and clear because the 09 seat for comfort is vastly improved. How about a few pictures of your new beauty?

They are in the general cvo discussion area...I have a few more complaints about it too. I really do love the bike but...
I think it is geared way too high, especially in the lower gears. Might be great for highway cruiseing. If I wanted a highway cruiser, I would have bought an Ultra Classic. This is more of a sport around town and short trips bike for me. Either I am too old or the newer bikes are much different than the older bikes. The ride is pretty rough, IMHO. It is geared too high and the seat sucks. Way too hard for me. The foot pegs maybe part of the problem with the seat. I am 6' 3" tall and the pegs might need to be extended to give me more room to stretch out. This might give my aching butt some relief. Guess what! Even with the complaints I still love the bike. I'd rather have a crappy Harley than a top of the line jap Bike....Yes I am a certified nut....Sue me :bananarock:

I have an '07. I have no problems with the stock seat for rides 3 hrs. or less, though I'll admit that it is designed more for looks than comfort. I'm 6'1" with 32" inseam and the forward controls are perfectly located for me.

To my eyes that seat has too much bulk forward of the fender. But everyone has a different idea of what looks good on a bike, and if you like it, that's what matters.  :2vrolijk_21:

It looks like the rider would sit farther forward than the stock seat. I am 6' 3" with 35" inseams. I need more leg room. That seat would not work for me.

I'm 6'1" and also need every bit of room the stock seat gives.

You would be correct about the sitting forward.  Hence the custom seat.  I had them add 2 inches of foam to the seat to move my vertically challenged ass forward.  Lol.   I am only 5'6".   So the original seat would be shorter.  You can have them add/remove depending on ur preference.
