2007 FXSTSSE Axle nut covers

Im not near my bike but wanted to know.... are the rear axle nut covers easy to pop off?  What size is the rear axle nut.  Anyone have pics?  I want to buy a side mount license plate that mounts here....

Beautiful thanks!  I am going to pick up a Roto Plate Jr. from this place with an LED plate bracket and use the axle mount.  From the pics you gave me and the pics on their site it looks like the 5/8 inch axle kit is what I need.
