Vanamal, the alcohol that they put in the gas is not the right kind for drinking.....   That is a nice product for around the house

Well been close to 50 years since I stole grand dads tractor gas. This would have made it better, just seemed you were supposed to cough and gag a little to pay for what you were doing.

Four times?  Have you considered a 12-step Ethanol Withdrawal Program?  Puff and spit is a consideration....don't swallow. That's just a rule I live by.  No judgment on my part.

Gas is pretty cheap around here right now, just dipped below $2 a gallon, so I really don't need a fancy syphon at this time.  However, I will keep it in mind for when the prices shoot back up.

In my SC High School days, students drove the busses and kept them at home over night. Never ending supply for my '49 Chevy coupe. Used a piece of garden hose for the deed...........5gals in about a minute. The busses were governed down to 35mph, turned a ticket in bout once a month "bus 3-5mph slow.......had her up to 50 fore I got busted.

I could have used this before, you are right gas does not taste so good. Might be better now that it is unleaded.

I have had a cheapo version of the gravity unit for years. I was able to help a friend with it once. So I have kept it in my trailer ever since. Funny that some people used to siphon gas back in the 60's and 70's when it was only pennies a gallon. :huepfenlol2:

That's great.  The next time I run out of gas I know who to call.......

It stays in my trailer. It's just two short lengths of black hose with a rubber squeeze bulb in the middle. The friend I helped had a big plastic cup that we put the gas in from my tank then sucked from the cup into his tank. It was just enough to get him to a station just down the road. :2vrolijk_21:
