What's up with NAITRAM?
« on: February 19, 2005, 10:56:44 PM »

What was the reasoning behind pushing the DELETE button on everyone's comments concerning HUBBARD'S views on Horsepower?  Bring that back up, man!  That was fun!  I do know HUBBARD, and do not take offense to anything he says, because he tells it the way he sees it.  No one should have to apologise for telling the truth!  There is only three of us up here that ride together.  No one else will ride with us.  They are just in the way, anyway!  Please reconsider and give everyone another chance.  Thanking you in advance I remain---OTIS

Naitram is the founder of this great site. No one has the right to question him on what he feels appropriate for the site. The knowledge that I have personally gained from here is priceless!

THANKS NAITRAM [smiley=bigok.gif]

I concur with Twolane with one exception..........Naitram is not a Moderator.  I and a couple others hold that positon.  Naitram is the "owner and sole propietor" of this fine web site.  He doesn't take any advertising, membership fees or donations.  Therefore, I guess he can do just about whatever he takes a notion too.

We have choices and I knew that we were skirting the policies but I chose to let it go because it seemed like everybody, including Hubbard, was having fun with it.  Anyway, Naitram felt differently about it and shut it down.  Lesson learned and we move on.........or away.  Those of us that value this site will just accept it and move on.....right here. Without a doubt this site is the "best of the best" for those interested in specialty motorcycles. In my opinion, the rules, guidelines and monitoring by Naitram and the moderators have encouraged a group of mature, like minded and often outrageously humorous members who I would like to consider friends.  My compliments and gratitude to Naitram and all the other contributing members for making this site a welcome and rewarding addition to my day.

Just my .02, anyway, just glanced at the thermometer and it just hit a sunny and calm 80 degrees.  I can definately hear the ol' Rineharts on the 103 beckoning for the remainder of the day.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

[smiley=oops.gif]  Naitram--I would like to apologize to you and every member of this site for any insults, offense, contention, or direct character defamation my previous remarks may have, or did in fact, convey.  I asuure you it was all in fun, not personal.  However, in my excitement and haste to participate in a discussion in which I consider myself well informed, I failed to first read the rules.  I truly enjoy this unique site, and commend you for it.  I trust all concerned will let the past be the past, on my part, and ride forward.  Everybody deserves a fresh start!  Again, I apologize.  Sincerely--HUBBARD

HUBBARD, the fact that you can stand up and apologize says alot for you as a person, I hope that all involved consider it in the past and can move forward. there is plenty of playful jabbing on this site, but one thing that sets it apart from alot of other H-D related sites is that we have been able to avoid the personal bickering, and though i do feel bad about removing the good with the bad from that thread, i felt it was in the best interest of the site to do so.

so i'm glad your still here and look forward to your future contributions

Yo Hubbard, being from the other side of the river, (grew up near Parkersburg) I'm glad to see you're gonna stick around, what's a conversation with only one side?
I got a feeling you can put some stories together we'll all enjoy reading.

Hey hd2003--I picked up a new word from the 500 yesterday--I'm "Stoked" about going to Bike Week next week!  You goin'?  I plan to stop by Tilley's in Statesville around noon on Thursday, March 3.  Should be a real exciting event there around that time, I understand.  Gotta' go over to OTIS'S and get my Trailer and prep it for the trip.  Yeah, I know, I'm one of the reasons they call it "Trailer Week", but I ain't as hard-core as I used to be.  I still like to ride hard and fast, just can't hang like I used too!  Otis and I go to Tilley's quite frequently.  You'll take a liking to OTIS.  He's a Hoot!  He's got the cleanest 2001 FLHRGSEI I've ever seen.  Lookin' forward to meetin' ya'll.--HUBBARD

Mr.WeCVO--Once a Hillbilly, always a Hillbilly!  Man, I do have some experiences recorded in my memory from days gone by.  Back when John Barleycorn was my best buddy.  I really don't know why I'm stiil here, but I'm sure glad I'm still on this side of the sod!  It still amazes me that I have'nt crashed one time since I quit drinking liquor!  But I sure drank my share and had a lot of fun, too, until it stopped being fun.  Hope to see you sometime.  Goin' to Daytona next week?  Later--Hubbard

I keep saying it so you're probably getting tired of hearing it, but HOW COOL IS THIS PLACE?!?!?  Ol' HUB gets cross-ways with a few of us just trying to get to know us and then we all forgive and forget and move on just like old pals.  All the friends, fun, good-natured ribbin' and comeraderie is what keeps me coming here back day after day (not to mention I get to learn new stuff about my bike along the way).  Hats off to HUBBARD for takin' it all in stride and stickin' around.
