Trailers
« on: December 07, 2008, 06:01:24 PM »

I am considering picking up a trailer, I found this one not to far away painted in BB 04 SEEG colors.   They have it listed as you can see for $1800.00.   Is this a good price for the trailer?  Anything I should know likes or dislikes about having this type of trailer.

Any helpful info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Last one.

The paint seems to be in great shape and the rest of the unit seems to have been well taken care.  Apparently the person that had it sold their B/B.

Unless you're in a hurry, my suggestion would be to check out some estate sales. The trailer Bubba_T has I bought via that method. Paid all of $350 for a trailer that retails at $3,500.

BB,
I am not in a big hurry, but if the deal is right, why not act.  My hesitaiton is, because I do not have enought information and figured that someone with this type of trailer might speak up and give me the low down on price, usability, likes, dislikes or they had one and sold it because of whatever reason and ended up buying another type of trailer because of it.

Thats a New-Line trailer. Nice idea because it turns and leans with the bike. Here is their website. It doesn't look like your going to save much though. Doc

Doc,

Thanks for the link.

Thus far the add ons and paint take the price to over 3100.00.   Based on what your saying I may have to further negotiate, but before I get that far, I am trying to fast track the learning curve from people with first hand experience

Jorge,

This was ideally going to be for Michelle's Pumpkin, but that is because I have a lead on a Cherry version of this type of trailer as well.  She is just not thrilled with the idea yet though, and that is because she says it will hinder how fast she can take the curves  :o

Ozzie,

Was it an N-Line trailer ?   If so, where did you get it?

Yes N-Line Trailer found it on eBay located in Dayton Ohio. The owner wanted a larger camper style trailer for his GoldWing. The color was a pearl white with custom gold pin stripes, nothing elaborate.

Do what you want, it's your money. My only purpose in posting was that it seems like you are paying a lot of money - - - especially with the economy in the crapper. Wait til the snow is knee deep everywhere and I believe you'll see peripherals like trailers etc for a lot cheaper as people sell what they can do without for extra cash.

Just my opinion buddy

I have about 20,000 miles pulling and N-Line trailer. In no way does it hinder the bikes ability to handle turns. Pulled it with a 2001 Ultra and at the time I also had BSR and it handled it all with ease.

N-line tracks very well and the greatest thing about it is, if your motorcycle wheels miss the object (hole, 4x4, whatever)the trailer will also miss.
downside is it leans with the bike when parked and doesn't stand up on it's own when unattached.
but possibly is the best pulling trailer for motorcycles.
