In Amarillo, the Steaks are better at the Texas Road House. Also, the bike hangings are on Route 66, 6th Street, Try Smokie Joes.

8/12/10, still in Indiaia, leaving here Sunday or Monday ~ have not decided which.   Gads, it is hot and humid here, feel like I'm gonna melt!! Got an oil change at the local HD shop in Valpo.  Looks like they are having some kind of get together Friday evening, I'm going to go check it out.  Did I mention it's hot and humid here?!!  Riding around I stumbled onto a new subdivision, saw a 16,000 sq ft., house with a 2,000sqft guest house...... on 7 acres.....  now I'm just a normal guy so correct me if I'm wrong, if ya have a 16,000sqft house do ya really need a guest house?  Chit, just send your company to the the "last door on the right", it ain't gonna be too close.

Try Exit 6 on I65 just north of Louisville, while still in Indiana.  Malls, restaurants and hotels.  Watch your speed the last 9 miles in Indiana -- its 55, and they enforce it!!  Otherwise, assuming your staying on I65, try Exit 121 south of Louisville -- Hotels and Cracker Barrel !!  This is the first exit south of I265, which is the outer ring and out of traffic.

Let me know when & where -- try to meet up with you, at least for a cold one!

Ride safe!!

If you come down I-75 from Chattanooga down through North Georgia give me a shout.  My "Orange Crush" is in the shop right now but will jump on the ole trusty Fat Boy and ride with you some!  Sent you my cell number via PM.

Ultra -- From Louisville, I64E to Lexington, then I 75 to Knoxville and I40 -- I40 E to NC.  Ashville,NC is 6 hours from Louisville, longer if you stop for more than gas.  If you're still considering a hotel in Louisville (for Sunday night), disregard my earlier suggestions for hotels -- You will be heading East on I64 on your way to NC.  I suggest taking I64 to the east side of town and finding a hotel at the Blankenbaker Rd exit -- Hotels and Cracker Barrel! Careful at the river -- I 64 exit lane is far to the right while still over the river, then a very sharp left on the exit ramp that tucks back under the interstate bridge.

Send me a PM if you want to try to get together -- Ride safe!

I'm not "pounding the road" tomorrow, plan to get a hotel in Louisville then check the weather for NC, if it looks good then I'll go there...  I'll PM my number, please feel free to call me in the early evening/late afternoon, always up for a meet and greet and maybe a cold one!  This is the last I'll be on line .  Mark

Mark made it safely to Louisville on Sunday. Let's see, the temp was only 100 when he pulled in so the only thing he was looking for was a pool. Lol - Me and Joel took him to dinner and then Mark and I headed back to the hotel parking lot for a few cold ones. He is some pic's of the twins. We have talked about meeting long before we picked up our bikes. Mark is a great guy and I hope your able to stop back by. Oh, dig this. Mark belongs to a HOG Chapter in Seattle and I belong to the HOG Chapter here in Louisville and both directors of our chapters are brothers, can you believe that. Wow, small world.
