My stock seat is damaged as well. The Stingray insert on the rider portion pulled away from the leather for a 6 to 8" section. Must be my big a$$. But I love my Corbin so screw it. No pun intended.

While looking for SERK parts for a couple years say quite a few of these saddles with similar damage John.  So it's no t an uncommon thing.  While not a real common item there's more of them out there than you might expect since HD did offer the stingray saddle in the P&A book for awhile.

So you"re saying that I'm not fat? And my seat is torn at the seam due to a possible HD flaw? I love you man.  :bananarock:

Yea...that's the ticket...it's the MOCO again...

Is this a SNL skit?

Q...with that nice Corbin custom designed by Q seat on there, who gives a chit about the stock seat?  Your a$$, whether fat or not, would complain violently if you put it on the stock seat again...

You are absolutely correct Terry. The stock seat was horrible for any distance. I needed to get a Corbin after the ride to and from MV 07.

Yep, over 250-300 miles, and you'll know if the stock seat is gonna' work for your butt.  The jury's still out on the new bike's seat, but so far, so good, and I've done 1 270 mile day so far.  I'd prefer not to fork out the $$ for a new seat on this one, if possible, but my a$$ may say otherwise somewhere down the road.

Would like to see you again at some point in time...maybe you can make it down to MV again?  If not, Judi and I will likely make it up that way in the next year or two...she's originally from Portsmouth, VA, then to So. Cali when she left home.  Would like to see you, Ed, and whoever else is relatively close to you and that area.  I'm geographically challenged when it comes to the Northeast...never had the pleasure of visiting that part of the country.

After all, WE are the first two who used Glare, so we're special... :huepfenlol2: :beerchug:

Would absolutely love to see you again. We will make that happen at some point. As for the Glare, yes we started the revolution. I used it on my plasma screen and it looks brand new.  :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

Since this is a seat thread, let me toss in that the 2003 OEM SERK seat is far and away the most comfortable seat Harley-Davidson ever made. Far and away. Not sure if they're still available, but if you've got a SERK and want a fine looking and especially comfortable seat, try to find one of these. They also fit older SEEGS. Beags has got one for his Cherry Bomb he loves.
