What's up with Surdyke?
« on: November 20, 2012, 07:58:00 AM »

Is anyone else having problems with ordering from Surdyke?

I tired placing an order with them last month.. about $700+ of parts. Computer crashed when I was trying to complete payment, and then spent weeks trying to get someone to answer the phone or reply to my emails so I could give them some money! I received two notifications to the effect of "we will call you to complete the transaction". No one calls, and every time I called them, I got a "we're out to lunch" voicemail, even at 3 in the afternoon! And then they just straight up cancelled the order.

So I decide to give them one more shot; they've been trouble-free in the past. But my order still hasn't been processed after two days, and they're still not answering the phone. What the hell's going on in Missouri?

I never had any issues.  I thought they were a little slow processing the transaction but that never bothered me because I usually buy chit when the bike is sitting during the winter months and I'm not in a hurry.  Once the processing delay is done, shipping has been quick, prices and returns were simple.  Some reason processing CC transactions seemed slower than other retailers?  Still my preferred online store.

I've placed 3 separate orders in the last 2 weeks for over $2,000 worth of stuff. Fast delivery, 20% off and no errors on my orders.  I'm placing another sizable order tomorrow; so far I've never had a bad experience with them.  I always look up the part numbers ahead of time in my model specific parts catalog or the HD P&A catalog and know what I want before I call to speed up the process....it reduces errors too if you look up your own part numbers, not just with Surdyke but with any dealer.

Never had a problem like yours. I had ordered a rainsuit for my wife and it was canceled by them last month due to the item being discountined. But some other smaller orders went without a hitch.

Fly-Dog does it right!  I too do this, but only deal with Tri-County. Don't appreciate poor or slow service and there are plenty of places that appreciate the business by providing good service.  Not knocking the subject dealership, just making a general assesment.
