I also think it's a misprint. I had my little 113" going just over 130 when I ran out of balls the bike would have gone faster I just don't know how much faster.

Reading the article I think the part that isn't spelled out is that it is a woman's world record.

She is writing the article and goes on to explain she gets a proposal of marriage on the podium from Brian.

I'll ask Geezerglide if he has GPS'd his RG after the JARZ Performance tune up.

The Jim's 120 is a monster.

Has to be the woman's record that allows the speed to be a record.

Did 150 ( according to the speedo) on a SEVROD and that was beyond insane. It was all I could do to back off the throttle with the wind blast.

Now that's just wild....... [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I agree I believe that is a lil low, might be the womans record, though I cant see why a womans record would be considerably slower than the mens record. What I wanted to point out though was the documentation. This is Bonneville Land Speed Records we are talkin here, not a high speed attained on a GPS or by a radar gun, this is the average speed thru the speed traps at the start and end of a measured flying mile. For a land speed record you have to pull a measured mile average speed, and you have to do it twice in a specified time period for the record to stand. That means a lot of things have to work right, Twice, to get the record. Add to this the slushy Bonneville salt, and its gotta be fun!!  I've long been fascinated by the Bonneville thing and hope one day to get out there and check it out. Gotta give these folks much respect, those speeds for sustained periods takes big brass ones......
