Front motor mount type?
« on: April 16, 2012, 09:25:03 PM »

I have an 06 seuc.  Was going to replace my front motor mount.  What types do you recomend?  I have red up on here as much as i can.  But most of the posts were from a couple years ago.  Seems some use the velva trac comp cams type, head a couple with the true trac, saw a video on the power glide, and head the stock harley c model still is good.  Looking for some input on what your guys use and how different types worked for you.

Trying to get my suspension all worked out.  Have 48k on the bike just replaced the rear rubber stabilizers in the swingarm but just with the stock ones since they were just sitting in my shop.  Have this weird kind of knock or something when i hit some bumps.  Everything in the back is good figured start working my way up front.

I have a Glide Pro on mine, very impressed. It takes a little to settle in, but much better than HD's newest one.

I just installed the Glide Pro system.  Much better than stock and hoping it will improve after "break-in" - only 200 miles so far.  Dogbone, how long did yours take to smooth out??

What is there to "break in" on a motor mount :nixweiss: ?  This seems more like a "we get used to the difference" part than the part actually changing over time.

efrbc1, I have about 10,000 on my Glide Pro mount. I also installed the rear mounts and piviot shaft. Jake's video has some tips on aligning the front mount.

My thoughts exactly!

I went with the glide pro.  I like this mount.  I didn't notice any extra vibrations or anything.  Seems to work well.
