I bought HD audio amp and speakers mount ed on my handle bars. Part # 76262-08 page 615 ij the book. Since the Garman 660 will play MP-3s I thought it would work well, also mounted a Sirius radio. what a waste of money. Cant hear either at riding speed. The Garman works a little better then the Sirius. Just wanted to let people know save your money. Lots of distortion.

My wife says she can hear it at highway speed. She is using an IPOD with the volume turned all the way up.
Maybe she is just happy to have tunes of some sort.....I never tried it on her bike on the highway :nixweiss:

Hmmmm.. if miahene doesn't sell by end of summer. .. I going to go ahead and install it on my bike

I think mine would work with an I pod,the radio does not have a strong signal going into the amp.

I had the same system on my Road King and it was very loud riding around town. I could annoy people at will at any signal lol. My GF (who bought me the system) sat at a signal and told me later she could hear it loud and clean in her car next to me...with windows up. That said, you cannot hear it well at speeds over 55 or so. Wind noise and distortion just kills it. It is what it is, a small 30 watt two speaker system output to small 4" speakers. It's not possible to make this system loud enough given the design and size requirements. I used my front speakers, mounted them to my engine guard....put on saddlebag lid speakers from Hogtunes, with a Rockford Fosgate PBR300x4 amp, a JL Audio CL-RLC pre amp that is used for a volume control and a gizmo called an iStreamer to take the digital music output from the iPod, it will charge the iPod and it outputs it into RCA cables which goes to the pre-amp. With these FOUR speakers hooked up, i can absolutely blast some one out sitting at a signal (if i wanted to, i'm respectful and i turn the volume down most of the time sitting at a light)...still at speeds above 75, the wind noise gets ya. It's really hard to get quality sound on a motorcycle without a windshield or fairing.

Up date,I went inside Sirius and set the vol higher. Took bike for a ride and the sound was much better. Riding at 50 and 55 could hear music fine. The unit is what it is and works fine under normal riding. It is not made for high speed riding. My dealer offered to take it back but I am happy the way it is.I was spoiled by the sound in my 2011 Streetglide. It is what it is
