"the story of a beauty queen and her ulgy little sister."

Nah, It will fail, the pilot won't get picked up.  Sporty appears to have a birth defects, or maybe she was made for the English market?  Not even legal here in the U.S.  Rear brake is on the left side.

I did not mean that it is ugly , i think it is good ( the leather tourpak ) but  the painted version looks better in my eyes , allthough both are not my style . and the fact of never have to paint it when putting on another bike is an advantage .

Klaus, looking good. Glad to see you got the lowers on. Did they give you any trouble?

Shame on me , yes , trouble to get them inside the engine guard , had to remove the highwaypegs then it was easily to get them right in place . Next was to fasten this handscrew at the top inside the glovebox , a job for a gynecologist , but at the end all was good .
The testride was great , less buffetting and the feet can stay stressless on the floorboards , great . Are the vents just stick into the lowers , they can easily be pushed forward from inside to outside , then they slip a little out when moving the vent  (or are they fastened somehow with clue or so).
Really great Larry .thxs

I'll never be able to stick my hand inside another Harley lower glovebox again without thinking of that line! :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

I've installed two sets of those vents.  Those tabs usually crack and are either too loose ore too tight depending on where it cracks.  The angle of the grind in the opening makes a difference as well.  I had one this time that wanted to slide forward when I moved the vent lever.  I pulled it out and applied some 3M molding double sided tape on the underside of the lip...problem solved!

Get the 3M with the red backing...any auto parts store.

SilverGhost  :

Hey Klaus,

Whats up with the bike rack to the right of your bike?  You have one too many brews at Oktoberfest and try parking there so you don't have to use the kick stand?  :drink: :drink: :drink: :drink:
