Title: Question: Leather Care – Restoring the Dye

On a recent trip to River Gorge I suffered some damage to my V-Rod Seat.  It appears that my backpack rubbed some of the leather dye off of the seat.  Does any one have any possible solutions to restore this back to its original color or near it?

First thing that comes to my mind is Doc Bailey's Leather Black (https://www.leatherclear.com/cgi-bin/store/pid_01.htm). :nixweiss:

That was my first thought too but I have never used it...

Thanks for the personal experience...do you reapply this product to continue its effect or does one application do the "trick"...hey it's Halloween season...

I put two coats on my leather tour pack as the sun and weather had done a number on it.  With Doc Baileys it looks new.  Also put one coat on my seat as it also had some wear marks looks great.  Some people say it makes the seat slick, I had no problem at all.

Well I decided just to replace the piece...$25 Leather Care Dye v. $98 Brand New Pad...
