Here is the new addition to the Family. This is my wife's new ride. She is not a fan of the Skulls so we removed them from the tank and the fairing. The tank looked so good without any emblems so we left them off. The paint does the talking. The fairing needed something so we put on a CVO medallion. She went to Corbin and had the seat custom made just for her. The exhaust was upgraded with the SE Supertrapp Fatshotz mufflers. And finally, the ugly license frame and bracket was changed to a Kuryakyn curved one with LED lights. She is one happy camper but now has to decide which bike to ride. She also has a 1987 FXRC, a 2004 FLHTC-SE and a 2006 FLSTF-SE. Life provides so many decisions. I am posting a group of pictures to show these changes.

Nice :2vrolijk_21: I didn't know you could remove the skulls ??? I like it much better. Now tell her that she needs to introduce herself to the forum and start her own thread. :P

Sweet ride. Looks so nice. I really like the rear liscence plate holder too :2vrolijk_21:

Nicely done!! Love that seat.... Enjoy!!

Hey that looks great.
Now, take the protective strips off the fender (just stuck on, no prob). And then take the thumb screw off for the pass seat.
You will get a smooth nice rear end...
Harley dealer had a small, black, flush bar/shield plug that popped right into the hole left behind by the thumb screw.. $2.00
Worked great and looks great for a committed solo rider!
I like the front medallion !

I'm assuming that the fairing medallion and tank medallions just come off with the use of heat gun to loosen the adhesive? Correct? And what is the part number for the CVO medallion, don't see one listed in the HD parts catalog
-
We used dental floss, goo gone and lots of patience. The medallion is from the dash of a 2009 FXDF-SE.

Great idea

Beautiful bike. Saw lots of skunks in Sturgis. Great liikin' bikes.

You wouldn't happen to have the P/N for the medallion would you?
-
The dealer should be able to find the number from the 2009 FXDF-SE parts book. I think it is also the same one they used on the 06-07 FLHTCU-SE leather tour pack. I do remember it was an 06 number. I am sorry but I tossed the little bag with the part number when I stuck it on. The one from the 09 already had the two sided tape. I was worried that the 06 tour pack one might be a bolt on one.

Looks better without those skulls and same number plate hold as mine, finishes off the rear and nicely

Beautiful bike.
Love the seat!! Look comfortable as heck! And can accommodate a backrest as well :2vrolijk_21:
Enjoy it in good health!
-
Yes it does accommodate a back rest. She puts it on when she travels. I will post a second picture.
-
Here is another view. She used the same back rest on two bikes since she does not bolt it down. She just slides it in and takes it out when she stops.

GREAT personal touches to an already amazing bike... It is my opinion that "Your" fairing medallion is the correct one for this CVO bike, H-D part number 53463-06
-
I was wondering about the skulls my skunk is on the way 2weeks maybe 3

Nice looking set up on the seat!
I'm getting a Rich's Custom seat built for mine at the end of the month. I'm going for a two-up one pice seat with the backrest built in. I'll keep the stock seat for solo around town rides. The stock looks pretty and all, but it's not going to cut it for long rides and road trips.
