I bought a cover from cycleshade.com for everyday use and plan on using the cover that came with the bike for indoor storage. I used cycleshade with my 09 Road King Classic and it worked wonderfully. A lot of people asked where I got it saying that they wanted one. They are really handy for parking the bike at events and such. It provides a covers the bike well from sap and bird crap and you don't see the helmet when it is placed on the seat. It also serves as a deterent from fools trying to sit on your bike. Lastly it folds into its own attached bag and takes up a very small place in your saddle bag.

For those using the newer CVO (outdoor use) covers inside is there a concern of it holding moisture? Unlike indoor covers that don't repell water and breath using an outdoor cover inside (that dioesn't breath) may be problematic. :nixweiss:

Check out Exigent indoor dust covers. Used on my bikes for last ten years.

I didn't think of the moisture trapping isue with the CVO cover. I'll have to do some research on that.

I heard mention of the factory cover causing some 'hazing' from repeated install/removal.

I use the factory cover....but it goes on after the last wash after my insurance expires.......and off again in the spring.
