Title: New guy here. Handle bar questions. 2006 flhtcuse candy crimson.

I know it's been asked a 1000 times but has anyone done 12" bars on their 06 flhtcuse? I seem to have quite a bit of play in my stock cables and seem to think 12's are doable retaining stock cables.

With stock cables, no way there enough for 12" bars.

Nice bike Nick! If Jim (hd-dude) above says they won't work, they won't work. He is that good!

Agree! Up to 2013 you can put 10' apes with stock wires/cables. After that the MOCO kindly put extra of each on the bikes so you can install 14s with stock wires/cables.

I'm looking at that photo of the clutch hydraulic line (it's not a cable) and wondering how the hydraulic clutch operated with the line kinked like that. :nixweiss:

That Clutch line doesn't look stock, or good. If there is that much extra something tells me that taller bars were at one time on the bike. How much "extra" do you have on the throttle/brake side?
