They do look great on the Breakout but am I the only one that immediately thought what a pain in the a** it's going to be to clean those?
-
I also though so. Looks very time consuming
-
As one who hates brake dust on wheels, I thought the same. Some wheel or window cleaner (chrome cleaners and polish usually contain ammonia) and a soft brush should work fine though.
-
I would be concerned with the additional hour it will be to clean the bike now! I like the ease of swiping the rim in a circle with a rag and moving on. Too many nooks and crannies on these wheels.

Cleaning real wheels? I know how I do it on my bike. My bags come off easy (some will say too easy)...But seriously, with fixed hard bags how do you guys clean under them? You don't unscrew them do you? I know it sounds like I should not even be on this site!..but how do you guys do it?

Mine goes up a few inches on the jack and I lay down and spin the tire. I've changed to bolts holding my hardbags on so it's 3 minutes to remove them instead of 30 seconds, and I really don't want to risk dropping them just to clean the back wheel.

Wow
It seems like a lot of work.

Find just the right brush....and cleaning should not be too bad....but polishing would be labor intensive.
-
That would be a good thing. I don't mind cleaning to pass the time on those rainy days or days that I am just plain bored.
-
certainly perfect cleaning weather with the storm heading up the east coast!
I can tell you that it takes me about 20 minutes to clean both wheels. Not bad once you get a process going.
I use an original mix of 50/50, using Zaino Brother's QD spray and water. cleans the chrome and leaves a very nice shine. I use a wet and dry microfiber to apply then wipe off...

it's all about having both hands cleaning at the same time!
They really are special and the front wheel is by far the most noticable part of the bike. It's huge with that 130 tire, and immediately draws your eye to it...
