While new to CVO Electra Glides, I'm not new to Electra Glides.
In the past I've never been comfortable with the stock Electra Glide handlebars/stock seat. I've ended "tossing them" and going with Harley's reduced reach bars and a Mustang seat.
Fortunately, the previous owner of this "new to me" 2013 Electra Glide CVO, had already installed the reduced reach bars. I was thinking I would probably end up with a Mustang seat, but since the CVO has Harley's heated Hammock style seat, I was hoping I could find some way to make this heated seat comfortable.
After numerous trial-and-error attempts over several days, I think I've finally got it!
I moved the backrest support bracket as far forward as possible, then placed 1/2 spacers under the front of the bracket to angle the top of the backrest backwards. This seems to work; took a 200 mile ride and I feel fine - no sore butt or thigh muscle aches.
Maybe this arrangement might work for others.
