1936 Chevy Assy Line

Amazing what they did with the level of automation in 1936!! Wonder how they did all that without OHSA, safety glasses, hardhats and Japanese robots on the line?  :nixweiss:

Very nice! You will not find this kind of teamwork anymore. Everyone works together.
 Great.

To get this back on topic.
That was a cool video.
Was hoping to see some of the painting process.

The film is very interesting.  Even emotionally appealing.  It's amazing what the right music and image cuts can do to set a mood and deliver a feeling.  Imagine the same footage but with the welding and machine oil smells and all the hammer and press noises going on every moment.  The scene suddenly isn't nearly quite so industrially bucolic.

I enjoyed it too! Would have liked to seen it in color but the BW sure brings back memories.

The "can" that has been kicked down the road for years by unions............has just recently been well recognized by the general (tax paying public).........e.g. Wisconsin,  Ohio and other states.   Finally,  they are being reined in and (unfunded pension liablilities as well as excessive health care costs).....that the average tax payer doesn't have,  are being corrected. :cherry:
