Two months on in owning and riding my 2019 Black Forest and Wineberry ride. I have added Ciro3D Highway Peg mounts with Harley pegs and had fitted the Black Screaming Eagle slip-ons without baffle to get some engine noise from the 117 engine. To date, after 3500 miles, all is well with the bike. I have added about half a pint of oil to the engine the other day. The 5000 mile service is early next month so we’ll see if there are any primary / transmission issues then. I am very happy with my now third CVO Street Glide. I love the colour and am always getting compliments on its appearance. Ride safe all.

Hey Peter,
Beautiful Bike... all the luck with that gorgeous machine. I have the exact bike so I might be bias lol Mine only has 1,200 miles on it.
I have a question. When I shut off the engine I hear a noise like some kind of valve or diaphragm either opening or closing It's hard to explain , but you can't miss it. Have you experienced this?
Anyone please feel free to chime in. Dealer told me it's normal, but you know how much we should trust them.
Thank you
Ira

Peter that's a sharp looking bike. I liked that color scheme so well that I bought one. Enjoy.

7000 miles on the clock now. Picked up bike on 1st March, so done some serious miles in the 15 weeks i have had the bike. Been riding all over Europe. Well happy. One thing though. I think the front brake disks are out of alignment. Getting a juddering when applying front brake, be it light or hard braking. Off to the dealership next week to get their opinion. Has only occurred since the 5000 mile service. Very strange. Any thoughts?

Sounds like one or both of your brake rotor up front are warped. You are describing exactly what my 2019 CVO Road Glide was doing at 4000 miles. Rotors were replaced at the 5K service. Its been fine for the next 6000 miles.

I hear it on my '19 Road Glide. I assume it is normal. Sounds kinda like compression bleeding off ??? Maybe one of the pistons is pushing back because it's on it's compression stroke when shut down??? I heard a similar noise sometimes on my '16 with the 110 occasionally. I think it is a characteristic of the open element air filters that come on CVOs?

My 2019 RG CVO does it too, but my 2013 RG CVO did not???

Thanks for the info. Bike going to Dealership on Thursday. I will not put words in their heads but will see what they come up with. I will update here once I get their opinion.
VERDICT: dealership have ordered a pair of front brake discs. Totally warped are the ones on my Glide. 3 months old. 7300 miles. And guess what - not covered under HD warranty. Dealership will cover cost of workshop and will y’all with HD to attempt to get money off the discs but policy is no warranty on brakes. Not a happy biker,

I call bull on Harley not covering it under warranty. My 12 CVO RG had warped rotors replaced under warranty, my 15 CVO RGU had front warped rotors replaced under warranty. And my 19 CVO RG just had both front rotors replaced under warranty at 5000 miles.
-
Kinda odd not covering the rotors within the warranty period. Maybe not brake pads, but I had one rotor replaced under warranty I think on my previously owned ‘14 CVO Limited. No cost to me.

Automatic compression release (ACR). One on each cylinder head.

My 19 does it too. Sounds like it’s crying because it’s sad to be turned off. I kinda like it. Haha.

:huepfenjump3: LOL! I'm gonna think of that noise in a totally different way now!

Rotors (disk brakes) on front wheel now replaced; new fixing kit and new pads. Calipers are OK. After discussion HD paid for the rotors, the dealership covered the cost of the workshop and i paid for the new pads. Now to gently break in the front brakes. Mileage is now at 10300. Rest of bike doing great.

Looks like mine on my 2019 CVO RG, will be replaced under warranty again. Replaced at the 5000 mile service, and now they are worse then they were then with 14,000 miles on the bike.

The 10K service has just been done. A breather tube was added to the primary upon instruction from HD mothership. Not sure why but its been done. Also had the mike flash disabled so now I can run Apple Carplay without the Sena dongle being lugged around. The bike has been running well so very happy with my first six months of ownership.

that Black Forest and Wineberry or the solid Black forest models are so sexy.....many grats my friend....amazing looking bike

Well it’s the cold wet winter season here in England. My Glide is in the garage with 12135 miles now on the clock. It’s been a good 8 months of riding in the UK and through several European countries since I first took delivery of the ride in March 2019. All has come to a halt six weeks ago when I underwent a left knee total replacement. Got to wait for that leg to get full muscle control back before I jump back on the Glide. Well it’s wet and cold so I can just about cope with just looking at the bike in the garage. Can't wait to be 100% fit and back riding. Cheers all for now.
-
It sounds like 2019 has been a tremendous year for you Peter, with a beautiful new CVO and some fantastic riding and now a complete knee replacement so that you're physically able to easily handle and enjoy that new ride!
How are you going to top this in 2020? :2vrolijk_21:
Onward and upward!

Did the tour pack come with the Harley Davidson CVO wording on it?

All the lights are standard CVO 2019. No extra lights have been added.
