Wheels
« on: May 06, 2005, 10:41:45 PM »

Greetings,

I have been looking at some new PM wheels and was wondering if a 21" wheel and what size tire would fit on the front and what's the maximum 18" wheel and tire size that will fit on the rear? Saw a 2005 a while back with 18" front and rear and it looked great. Thanks!

Just one guys' opinion of course; but I'd be hard pressed to want to switch to a taller tire on touring bike just because I wouldn't want it to skinny.  Touring bikes are touring bikes because they're great on the road.  One part of that is knowing if the front tire bumps some little obstacle it's not going to start trying to do a dance of it's own like a skinnier tire might.
