Bike dies while riding

2018 CVO Road Glide....went out for a ride yesterday and every once in a while the radio would cut out--complete loss of power and come right back on. Figured something was going on with the radio, but then 20 minutes later the bike started cutting out while riding.....if I was at speed, in gear it would restart on it's own, but if it was at idle not moving I would have to push the start button to get going again. When this happens all the gauges go dead as well.....and right before it happens I see the voltmeter going from it's normal spot at 14 all the way to above 16, then the bike dies.

Besides battery connections what else could cause this??? I'm thinking maybe a ground, but where are they all??? Or am I thinking in the wrong direction??

Mike

OBB:
I think You're going in the right direction with a bad connection somewhere. Just follow the wires and see where they go.

How old is the battery?

3 months....changed it at the beginning of this season since it was coming up on 6 years and started to crank weak.

TN:
Did you check for dtc codes?
